I'm in middle school and i was thinking of buying this... would it be strange if i used it as a backpack??? i mean a tote backpack - u know what i mean...

i think the first one would be a little small but its ok. the second one seems to be a more appropriate size but honestly for the money youre spending i would look at other designers. i like vera bradley but your could get other (cuter) designer bags for that!
