Fastest Growing Why Not To Join!
This is a common claim of the MLM (Multilevel marketing), Network Marketing and Matrix programs. The aim, of course, is to convince you that this is the program to join. How can it not be if so many people are clamouring to get in? We all like to have our choice confirmed by others.
I have already done an internet search for "business opportunity" and found 307 million results. There is no guarantee that this search turned up every opportunity either. While many of these will be duplicates there are still a large number of programs out there to consider.
So who has done the research of all those programs to find out which program is the fastest growing? Equally importantly what was the research? Of course you can go to Alexa and see information about the traffic statistics but that does not tell you how many are joining the program, it is a ranking based on visitors to the site.
Growth comes from members joining and that information is not available in the public domain. The researchers would have to contact the businesses concerned and gain information from them. Will this information be accurate or exaggerated to boost the
standing of the business being questioned? Is it available at all?
Already we have shattered the promoters’ credibility, they have made claims they cannot possibly substantiate! Of course in all promotions there is a tendency to us puffery and exaggeration but that is not what is being done here. The claim is made as positive and indisputable. They do not suggest such things as "one of the fastest growing." Just provide the bald assurance they at they are indeed the fastest.
However there is a much more important issue here and that is the question of the advisability of being drawn in by the hype. If it is indeed a fast growing program it will be getting a lot of publicity and much recognition along with many members.
We are always exhorted to join early and get so many benefits but if it truly is a fast growing program it may already be too late to get in "early". By the time you get signed up you may be well down in the structure. Added to that problem is the fact that there will be large numbers of members promoting the program and so you already have big competition before you have taken the first step and that is going to get worse.
Large numbers promoting now will attract large numbers and so your competition grows rapidly daily. Furthermore as this promotion grows and the membership expands there is an ever diminishing pool of potential new recruits and an ever growing list of those who have seen it and are not interested. All this simply makes your task more difficult.
There is a real need to apply some business basics thinking when we examine all the implications of the claims and perhaps joining the "fastest growing program on the Internet" has more negatives than positives in reality!
