How Can I clean Brass ?
I have an old cigarette case / wallet. It looks like it is made of some kind of leather or snake skin.
My problem is that it has a tarnished brass rim and clasp that I would like to polish up so that it would really offset the leather.
Is it possible to clean the Brass without damaging the leather ???
Ketchup and a Q-tip. I might be tempted to put blue low tack painter's tape over the leather near the brass. Test it on an inconspicuous spot first. You can clean leather with saddle soap; directions are on the can. I haven't bought it in a while, but it used to be with wax shoe polish.
