What is the difference between a real coach purse and a fake one?
I bought a coach purse the other day with the wallet for $35. It looks real, but I can't tell the difference. It is a hampton swinback purse. It have a leather patch with a style patch. It reads:"This is a coach bag. It was handcrafted in the United States of completely natural gloved tanned cowhide. The variations in the grain are characteristic of natural full grain leather". Style No# YE-02-57-0589. The letters are also big "C"s, and it have a metal tag that have "COACH
What does that leather patch reads in a real coach purse?
Well,to be honest with you,if it is new,it would never be that cheap.(Even a coach wallet at that price is hard to find).
There are many different ways to tell a fake coach(too many to list here-but here are a few)
First,if it has signature C's they should start in the middle and go out on both sides,perfectly symmtrical,never tilted or uneven.
Second,check the inside lining.A signature bag will never have a signature lining.It will be plain inside.
Since your bag has C's,it is not made out of leather,just trimmed with it,and the creed patch would say that.The words on your patch were copied from another bag's patch.
And most fakes nowadays DO have hang tags,sometimes good ones,sometimes bad ones.
