LEATHER presents!! I feel bad?
My dad came back from holidays and brought me back this leather key ring that had this big chunk of leather attached with my name printed on it. I didnt know what to do, I mean a cow died to become a bloody key chain, how stupid is that. I had only been a vegan for a month then so my dad probably thought I would get over veganism by the time he returned from his trip. I really didnt want to accept his gift and it really annoyed me that a cow was sent to slaughter so he could make a whole heep of key chains! I can't stress this enough it makes me angry.
what my question is,vegans; do you accept gifts that are non vegan?

Just take the gift and don't use it.
It can't be returned to where it was bought from since it has your name on it.
Your dad evidently bought something for you that in the past you would have appreciated - since you write that going vegan is a recent change. So why take the chance of hurting your dad's feelings? Will doing so bring the cow/bull back?
Address the issues that you can make a positive change about. Don't major on the minors and never hurt another when it is totally avoidable.
