I decided to pack my hospital bag early, i didn't realise how stressful it could be!?
So im almost 34 weeks and had nothing to do so thought i may as well make a start with packing the hospital bag and my goodness i was nearly in tears doing it. I have 2 'weekender' size bags so i packed one with the stuff i need, and the other with the stuff the baby needs but it feels like everything is so crammed in! I am a bit of a neat freak and im just thinking oh goodness everything will be creased and horrible when i get to the hospital because ive had to stuff everything in to get it to fit! In fact i still don't have everything in there that's on my list, i was thinking a suitcase might be more appropriate but surely you can't show up at the hospital with loads of luggage! How much baggage did everyone else take with them? Is anyone else finding it stressful to get packed?
I took my overnight bag and the changing bag i had already bought to the hospital with me. I had my mum's help packing but i still found it very stressful. I took a small overnight bag with my things e.g. spare clothes, nightthings, hairbrush etc. i also took the baby changing bag i'd alread bought with things for the baby e.g. nappies, two or three sleepsuits/babygro's, changing stuff and a blanket my nan knitted fo the baby. Just try to relax and not worry too much about packing, my friend spent ages packing her things and stressing about it and then she went into labour at my house and didnt even get to take the bag with her.
