I need money quick. How do I apply for loans and/or new credit cards if unemployed?

Don't lie on your application. That's fraud, though I'm not sure what the penalty would be if you got caught.
Are you really a freelance writer? If so, you may be able to obtain a loan if you can provide proof of your income (bank statements, etc.)
