Swashbucklers--Which others should I read?
I love this genre.
I've read a bunch of the classical authors - Dumas, Rostand, Shellabarger etc. I've read 'The Curse of Capistrano.' I own the Pimpernel series (up to 'El Dorado' anyway) and a bunch of Sabatinis. I've read Pérez-Reverte (all the 'Alatriste' novels that've been translated, although I maybe should try the ones that haven't), Tim Powers' 'On Stranger Tides,' and the Locke Lamora series, as far as it's been written as of now. I'm sure I'm missing some classics in this list.
What else should I read? I'd prefer current fiction, actually, as I'm more looking for stuff I haven't heard of.

Film recommendations are good too. This question came about because I'm currently watching the 1970s version of 'The Mark of Zorro' (Frank Langella, Ricardo Montalban) and finding it entertaining, if of course not as good as the Tyrone Power version. I own and love the 1950s Scaramouche, Captain Blood/The Seahawk, Pirates of the Caribbean, et cetera.
I can't think of any authors who aren't already on your list.
One of my favourite swashbuckler movies is 'Against All Flags' with Erroll flynn and Maureen O'Hara.
A more recent film that I really liked is a French film 'D'Artagnan's Daughter' which I enjoyed very much, Sophie Marceau swashed her buckle very well I thought.
