How can I prevent hangers from falling off rolling garment racks while in transport?
My company features a traveling boutique. To save time we leave the merchandise hanging on the racks between events. We tape the top bars and cover with a bag, however there are times when the clothing still falls off onto the dirty floor of the truck. Does anyone have a better option to secure the hangers to the bars and make sure they stay put?
The hangers jump off the bar?
1. Tie one end of a piece of twine or cord to one (upper) corner of the top bar.
2. When the hangers are on the rack, run the twine through the tops of each hanger all the way to the end.
3. Tie off the twine on the other side. ( If the hangers bouce off from the top bar, they'll be held off the floor by the twine.
Alternative: Run the twine over the tops of all the hanger hooks, which will keep them presed against the top bar.. Tie the twine on the other side.
or.. go to the home store and pick up a piece of Garage door mounting strip. It's about 1.5 inches wide and has holes all along it's length. Attach the "Holy" strip about a inch below the top bar. A circle of wire or twine over the top bar and through the hole on each end of the strip. Hang one hanger per hole the full length of the strip.
Clothing falls from the hangers?
Bend the end of each hanger up at a 45 degree angle ..about an inch from the end of the hanger.
