short hills new jersey close to newark?
i might be moving to short hills and im just wondering if its really close to newark. if it is does it make it unsafe in any way? thanks. and also what are some good towns around short hills. are there any better than short hills?
Yes, Short Hills is very close to Newark, and Newark is often rated around the 20th most dangerous city in the US. Car theft is notably high. I don't know of anyplace better in that area, as most of north Jersey is basically a suburb of New York City. I don't know where you're moving from, but auto insurance companies classify New Jersey as "100% urban." The cities all tend to blend together up there, and rush hour traffic can be insane. Short Hills MIGHT be far enough out that it might be a little nicer than places that are even closer. It wasn't too bad the last time I was there, but that was 20 years ago. Hopefully they still have a few trees.
