I want to walk from Cle Elum, WA to Kamloops, BC via Seattle and Vancouver. How long should that take?
It's about 400 miles of walking plus about 100 miles of ferry ride. I normally walk at a brisk pace of about 4mph. With a pack, I hope to eventually make the same speed, but I figure on closer to 3 miles per hour.
After training, my goal is to be able to pack 30-40 pounds for 10-12 hours per day, covering 30-40 miles each day and completing the trek in 12-14 days. Is this a realistic goal?
