if you needed to get away for a few months, owned your home so you had a safe place to come back to ... where?
I have a maximumn budget of $2,000 per month to spend and I can take 6 months off to travel
I am 41 and not really inclined to 'rough it' too much. Not expecting luxury on my budget, though. $2K per month must cover everything for the 6 month duration
I love gorgeous ocean and sand
Need to get away following a bad relationship year.
I am a Brit and I live in California. I have full legal permanent residency in the USA and a full British passport.
I don't drive so I wouldn't do so at any destination.
Where would you go? Any ideas?
I'd like to recommend the beaches along the Pacific side of Costa Rica or Panama. Both are great. Local transportation sources are very available in those countries since many locals do not have cars. buses, small aircraft and shuttle van services can get you anywhere you need to go.
I like the 'Lonely Planet' travel book series for specific destinations. Get the book at Amazon or go to Barnes and Noble bookstore to get some ideas. $2,000 a month should do just fine in those locations.
