Is this bag pattern cute for a 16 year old girl as a backpack/tote?

it shows vera bradley winter patterns coming out september 15th i think , i really want a vera bradley bag in the vera style tote to use as a school backpack.
Does anyone like the buttercup pattern for a 16 year old girl? Or does it look like something a grandmother would carry? i just want peoples opinions if i should wait or buy an already out pattern, if i was to buy an already out pattern i would probably buy one in Slate Blooms, or Hello dahlia.
might just use a big purse until i get one .. but which do you like and do you think i should wait?
I didn't look at the design, but Vera Bradley stuff all looks basically the same anyway. I think it'd be cute for a high school bag. Around here Vera Bradley is mostly for young adults so even it's a little mature for your age group, at least it's not Grandma-ish.
