Ebay Item not as described..seller not willing to cooperate?
purchased a louis vuitton bag from a seller on ebay. The listing read "just needs to be cleaned". From the pictures on the listing it looked to be in good condition. Her pictures were of the bag she sent me(you can tell by the discoloration of the leather handles). But they were at angles opposite of the damage.
I received the bag and it has makeup stains all over it, the piping on the interior is damaged to the point wear the actual plastic piping is coming out of the fabric, and the leather pull tab on the zipper is ripped off! On top of it all, the listing states she got the bag a year ago. I took it to a Louis Vuitton boutique and they advised me that it is a vintage bag at least 15 years old!!!!
I contacted the seller and told her of my concerns and she told me she listed it as "lovingly used" and I should have asked all questions before buying.
I have opened a case with paypal and the seller has not responded to it yet. I cannot open a case with Ebay until the 7th
EBay rules say the seller has to list all known defects and take pictures of said defects when selling an item. which she obviously did not. I would open a case with eBay when the time comes and keep on pay-pal. Maybe convince the seller to come to some sort of agreement like refund the moneys paid for the bag and you soak up all shipping costs.
